Conclave 2008 is coming

Dear Achewon Nimat Lodge,

I'd like you to think back to last April when you attended the W-3A section conclave at the College of Marin Indian Valley Campus. Remember the great weekend that we had, all the things that were going on and how many new people you met? Well, I'm pleased to announce that this year's conclave registration is now open at the Section W-3A website : www.w3a.org. This years theme is "No Arrowmen Left Behind" and we will be focusing on an issue facing all of our lodges, chapters and units: membership retention.

We will gather at Coast Guard Island, in Alameda on the weekend of April 25-27 and truly no Arrowman should be left behind and miss out on this great event! Coast Guard Island is a great venue with excellent facilities and is centrally located in the section. You'll enjoy your meals in the Coast Guard dining facility and you won't want to miss the totally new and unique approach to training that we're developing this year. Of course, we'll have our traditional competitions and activities, but you'll also have the opportunity to tour a Coast Guard cutter and enjoy an afternoon helicopter demonstration.

You also won't want to miss our special guests, the national vice chief of the Order of the Arrow, Ben Stilwill and last year's national chief Evan Chaffee.

As your 2008 Section Chief I want to let you know that we're taking a fresh approach to this year's event and it will be an even more amazing event then last year's Conclave. So in summation: registration is now open for the 2008 W-3A Section Conclave, which will be held at Coast Guard Island on the weekend of April 25-27.
