Achewon Nimat Bead System

Achewon Nimat Lodge has a traditonal system of using colored beads to reflect the service and honors of each member. We wear these to encourage our fellow Arrowmen to be strong in our devotion to the service to others. Many members will also attach a personal pendant, broach, or other significant item to personalize their beads, or to commemerate a significant event in their OA service.

When a candidate completes his ordeal and becomes a member of our order he is presented with a leather thong and the large red bead of an ordeal member. Thereafter the Arrowman is entited to the appropriate bead for all OA activities and service in which he participates.

The beads are available at most OA functions. As many Arrowmen are often busy at events, and may not recieve the beads they are entitled to, we will honor the request for beads that were earned and not received. Simply talk to the Lodge Secretary and explain which beads you are entitled to.
