The Arrowmen of Achewon Nimat lodge are often called to serve both Scouting and our communities. One way for us to serve is to remember our little brothers in blue. We realize that many Scouts started as Cub Scouts, and that Cubbing is the life blood of Scouting. We recognize the investment in Scouting we can make by helping Cub Scouts in our area. We support the Council, District and Pack Cubbing programs by being a resource that can be called upon, and by providing opportunities for an expanded Cubbing Program.
Each village in our lodge puts on a Camporee at least once a year for the Webelos and Scouts of their district. If you are a 2nd year Webelos Den Leader and would like to attend this fun filled overnight activity, contact your District OA Adviser, or Cub Scout Round Table Commissioner.
In addition the OA can assist you in finding a Troop which can invite you to camp with them. We have also put on Cub Age camping programs for various units.
The Den Chief is an experienced Boy Scout who is able to provide a role model for the Cub Scouts in your Den, and assist you as a Den Leader in implementing your Cubbing Program.
If you do not have a troop contact, please feel free to ask your OA village to assist you in finding a Den Chief in your area.
The Lodge and each Village have ceremony teams which are available to provide dramatic, colorful, and meaningful ceremonies for various stages of the Cub Scout program. We have done Tiger to Wolf, Bear to Webelos, Arrow of Light, and Cross-over to Boy Scouting ceremonies.
Contact your District OA Adviser and they can put you in touch with the Ceremony Advisor for your District. You can also contact the Lodge Ceremony Adviser.
The Lodge has a Drum and Dance Team that has performed for pack meetings, Blue and Gold Dinners, and augmented the Ceremony Team in making a significant moment in a young boy's life meaningful. Singing native songs, and dancing in modern Powwow regalia, they are an dramatic addition to your program.
Contact the Lodge Dance Team Adviser to arrange a visit to you unit.
The following Council and District adult leaders serve in an adviser role to their OA units. Please feel free to contact them if you have any questions, or would like the OA to assist your Cubbing program.
