Message from the Lodge

Greetings Scoutmasters and Scout Leaders,

Achewon Nimat lodge is honored to cheerfully serve the scouts and scouters of the San Francisco Bay Area Council.

Some of the services we provide are:

  • Service Projects at all 3 of our council camps on at least four work weekends a year.
  • Serving on the Council Camping Committee and promoting camping.
  • Hosting the Council Klondike Derby and Council Camporee.
  • Hosting Camporees for the districts.
  • Providing Winter Camp Awareness training.
  • Provide leadership opportunities and training for our youth.
  • Conducting elections for your units so your troop can choose and recognize individuals to be part of Scouting’s National Honor Society.
  • Conducting Arrow of Light, Webelos, and Crossover Ceremonies for packs
  • Lodge Drum and Dance Team performances.
  • Service with a smile :-)

All of the cheerful service we have accomplished is due to the support from our units, which is YOU! We thank you for your continued support. We look forward to developing our lodge leadership to better support our council and are asking that for all units to please contact us so that we can schedule your next OA visitation/Unit Election to elect new candidates. Please encourage your OA members to wear their sashes on OA day at summer camp this year.

Each district in our council is served by a Order of the Arrow village. If you have any questions, or would like to arrainge an election in your unit, feel free to contact the village advisers who will be glad to help you.

The full list of Lodge and Village officers can be found on our Contacts Page.

We hope that all of you have a wonderful experience at summer camp! Yours in Scouting,

Chris Coon Lodge Chief
